RPA Hosts Annual Gathering Oct. 5-7 in Conjunction with PACK EXPO
RPA Members and Non-Members Will Benefit From Participation at
2009 Choose Reusables Conference at PACK EXPO
Arlington, VA, August 7, 2009 – The Reusable Packaging Association (RPA) will host its annual meeting and education sessions Oct. 5 -7 in Las Vegas in conjunction with the PACK EXPO conference, it was announced today by the RPA. The “2009 Choose Reusables Conference at PACK EXPO” is open to RPA members and non-members.
The gathering is designed for members of the RPA, their customers and any packaging or supply chain professional who is interested in learning more about the economic, environmental and practical business benefits of all types of reusable packaging. Taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, RPA’s annual meeting includes a welcome evening reception, breakfast, two Reusable Roundtable General Sessions and a Board of Directors meeting. In addition, participants in the RPA Choose Reusables Conference can attend four reusable packaging track sessions organized by the RPA at PACK EXPO and they can attend the PACK EXPO trade show at no additional cost. PACK EXPO attendees also can attend the four reusable packaging track sessions as part of their admission to PACK EXPO. Speakers and panelists participating in the RPA events include representatives from Whirlpool, ConAgra, the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the California Product Stewardship Council.
“The economic downturn has created a heightened interest in reusable packaging systems because of their potential to increase a company’s profitability and productivity,” said Bob Klimko, Chairman of the RPA. “For this reason, we scheduled our Choose Reusables Conference in conjunction with PACK EXPO in order to make information and resources on reusables available to a wider audience. We look forward to the opportunity to help our members and PACK EXPO attendees understand how they can effectively implement reusable packaging into their operations.”
